CURRENT NEWS

* * * * * November 2007 Hello Patrons and Friends! 2007 has been a busy year for the Memorial committee. Cathy Coursen organized a series of sports-related events through the summer raising funds and awareness for the Fallen Firefighter's Memorial. Please see the memorial page on this website for the most current details including the T-shirt, long sleeve T-shirt and sweatshirts offered to support the memorial. We certainly plan another round of sport-related events in 2008 and we invite you to participate in as many as you can. Former Governor Thomas Kean recently issued a letter to the members of the Honorary Board as well as to the general public to encourage support for the museum and memorial. Please see his letter elsewhere on this website. The members of the Board of Directors will continue to seek corporate and government support but there is no doubt that the Museum Membership campaign from individuals, families and fire companies is a critical part of our efforts to build awareness and support for the project. Therefore I again ask you to please consider promoting memberships at whatever level is affordable from your organization. Even small donations add up so every dollar counts. We have been fortunate to have several fire apparatus manufacturer/dealers finance the newsletter so that we can continue to get our word out to fire departments across the state. For more information about the project check our newsletters elsewhere at the website. The Summer/Fall 2007 issue will be posted shortly if you don’t see it here already. If you can contribute some time to help, we'd like to hear from you! The museum and memorial organization is 100% volunteer. For information about the next Volunteer Committee meeting, please call Helen at (732) 463-7445 or send us an email via the website or call and leave your name and phone number at the business office (732) 222-5783.
